Simone Fohrman, Art & Music Instructor, and Admin Assistant

Simone Fohrman is an arts educator, community-engagement facilitator, and creative professional based in Denver, Colorado. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature with a minor in Sociology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2020, where she developed a strong foundation in community-focused work.

Simone has extensive experience working with youth and educational arts programming. Most recently she served as an After-School Arts Educator with Jeffco Public Schools where she planned and facilitated puppetry classes that introduced students to mixed-media design, storytelling, and character development.

In 2020 she served as a Student Success Coach with City Year Denver, supporting 6th grade students in high-poverty schools through academic tutoring and social-emotional learning. In this role she also implemented after-school enrichment programs designed to address critical learning gaps and to support students with learning disabilities.

Simone also worked with Thorne Nature Experience, beginning as an After-School Program Assistant at University Hill Elementary from 2017–2018 and later returning as a Lead Instructor in 2021. During her time as an instructor she coordinated weekly enrichment activities for groups of 15+ kids between the ages of 5-10, emphasizing learning through play, found-object art projects, and hands-on exploration of the natural environment.

From 2019-2020 she worked as a Community Engagement Intern at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder, where she helped develop Kids at the Dairy, a performing arts workshop series for Boulder County elementary students. This program introduced young participants to the arts while fostering self-expression and an early understanding of art as a tool for connection and healing.

In addition, Simone has a long history of volunteer involvement with organizations centered on advocacy, education, and family development. Her volunteer experience includes work with Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence, the Movement to End Sexual Assault, the Humane Society, and the Family Learning Center.

These experiences continue to inform her values-driven practice rooted in creativity, empathy, and equity.

Finally, Simone is a lifelong artist—a songwriter, producer, audio engineer, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist. Music and the arts have profoundly shaped her world, and she is deeply committed to sharing that joy and transformation with others by creating accessible, meaningful experiences for youth and the broader community.

At Creative Remedies, Simone operates as both the admin assistant and an art & music instructor.
