“When we do not have words to convey our sensations, feelings, or thoughts, we cannot simply 'name it to tame it'. But we can use implicit communication -- movement, rhythm, sound, image, enactment, and play -- to 'express it to address it'.
This is the transformative and restorative role of expressive arts, to provide a voice when language is unavailable or impossible.”

Professional Expertise
I’m a Board-Certified Music Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor with experience across various care levels, including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient settings. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and groups on a wide range of challenges, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, eating disorders, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, dissociative identity disorder (DID), PTSD, and other physical limitations.
In my approach to therapy, I use a mix of techniques to treat the whole person, drawing from music therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), exposure response prevention (ERP), and internal family systems. I’m also committed to continuing my education, currently pursuing training in DBT, grief-informed practices, and trauma-informed care to ensure I’m using the best approaches available.
I’m passionate about using music as a tool to help build communication skills, enhance emotional regulation, and foster creative self-expression.

Why I Became a Music Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor
From the moment I picked up a drum in the fourth grade, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in music. My main focus is on percussion, especially mallet percussion, and I’ve always felt a deep connection to the power of music. Throughout my life, music has been my constant companion, supporting me when I needed it most. Growing up, I saw family members—especially my mom and a couple of cousins—find their passion in Social Work. Their dedication inspired me to explore the field of Music Therapy. While earning my Bachelor's degree, I created my own path, blending my love for music with a desire to help others. I was fortunate to continue my journey straight into a Master's program, where I could fully embrace my dream of being a music therapist. This program also offered me the chance to pursue a Counseling track, allowing me to combine both music therapy and counseling in my practice. I’m excited to share this journey with my clients, using music as a tool to facilitate healing and self-discovery. In addition, I believe it’s important for clients to explore how counseling and talk therapy can help them discover more about themselves and gain valuable insights.

Bio
I grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut, and have also lived in Washington, DC, and Philadelphia, PA. In July 2023, I took a leap and moved to Colorado, which has pushed me even further out of my comfort zone. Throughout my school years, I loved being involved in band, orchestra, choir, soccer, and track and field—all of which helped shape my career path. When I’m not working as a therapist, I love spending time in nature, reading, hanging out with friends and family, finding new breweries and coffee shops, and playing music just for the fun of it.
